Hancock Park Residence

This completely renovated Mediterranean residence weaves old-world design and modern comfort seamlessly together. A 1920s restoration returning its original charm while adhering to local preservation standards and implementing a design inspired by villas found in Provence.   The kitchen’s hand forged steel doors, frame a panoramic view of the exterior gardens.  Solid walnut plank flooring spills onto the imported European limestone terraces.

A dilapidated two-car garage was converted into a pool pavilion, complete with family room, gym and guest quarters, and installing floor-to-ceiling, glass-and-steel windows and doors along the back of the house, to create a more intimate main residence, and activate the yard by creating openness and movement between the two structures.  The result is a light-filled, nearly loft-like residence with a living room that stretches the full width of the house.
